The Guitar Bass & Drum School was established in 2002 after a long hard look at the way private music lessons in the Mansfield & Ashfield area were conducted.
We found many students where being taught in small cramped spaces, bedrooms, and even garden sheds. Many are taught in large groups 6 or more.
All Our lessons are conducted in designated Music Studio space.
We believe Lessons that are held in large groups are not acceptable from a learning
point of view, learning only goes at one pace. Some students can be held back and some
are left behind, this can have a detrimental effect on how each individual progresses.
Those held back become frustrated and those left behind will be totally confused.
Both these situations lead to a loss of interest in the subject and understandably
students tend to give up forever.
Here at the Guitar Bass and Drum School we treat every student as an individual.

At the Guitar & Drum School learning your instrument is only the beginning of your education. With so many students in one place we actively encourage them to get together
and play together to form into bands, produce their own songs, record and play music live.
This builds confidence as an individual and will be a great place for you to find new
like minded friends.
No one is forced into any of these activities It's up to you how far you wish to go.

We are very excited to announce the recently opened Mansfield Studio
This opens the door of opportunity for all our students New and Old.
This new building holds a State of the Art Recording Studio which is available for all
students to use for band projects and with the help of the County Council's Music Academy
we aim to help every student into a band when he/she is ready to be in one,.
Music Academy is aimed at students aged 13-19 who live in the area to actively join in
and have fun with Rock Music.
The scheme has been running for 10 years and has shown a massive amount of interest
from students all over the county.
One day a week students are encouraged to get together and form a band, or solo act
and rehearse in the purpose built studio. Mentored by people who are experienced
in the music industry. The bands are encouraged to write and arrange their own songs to
a standard of which they can be recorded in the Recording Studio.
Yes you will be encouraged to make your first CD . The number one for the future??
It doesn’t stop there the building also holds a 100 seat Theatre where all bands are encouraged to put on a show, a Great experience and a Massive confidence builder
for any student.

All of this is available only at The Guitar Bass and Drum School we don’t just teach Guitar we actively encourage all aspects of the music industry. Making you not only a player but an active part of a REAL TEAM. (Band member)
